well today has been a mixture of joy for…

well today has been a mixture of joy for a well lived life and sadness at missing a friend,family and friends gathered from far and wide to say ‘goodbye’ and it was just as she would have liked it to be.
My equillibrium has taken a knock with this and I have done no work at all for over a week,my mind has not even been busy creating new things.A Christmas with my children and partners is planned at the our qiuet hideaway.Wherever you are and however you celebrate this time,celebrate with love enjoy the precious times for they give us those memories to cherish.

Today Kath has gone to a better place with no pain and is at peace.At the end she slipped away and somehow life will never be the same again,I miss her allready but the cloak of friendship she placed around me will keep me warm in these cold times,and I will never forget her.I pray for all those she has left behind.RIP my dear friend C

When the sunshine goes

Today is a very very sad day for me, my friend Kath of nearly 30 years is dying and just after I sat down to watch the x factor last nuight she took a turn for  the worse and started her journey.I chased to the ward and managed to have some time with her whilst she could talk.I cannot say ‘goodbye ‘ as it hurts too much and I have to believe she will still be with me every day, she is more than a sister,friend,soulmate,I love the very essence of her and we have been through life’s adventures together.She has been a second mum to my children and they too love her.Today I have been very qiuet and looked at the weather and the birds and the trees and relived our times in my head. So goodnight my dear friend, come and visit me often, let us laugh again at the absurdities in living, dream of what will be,find calmness and stillness in the silly world and I pray for your safe passage .

So for now I feel I have lost everything I will not be posting for a while until my mojo is back and my heart not so heavy,enjoy your families this Christmas and your friends and never take’ forever’ for granted.

I love this bag certainly makes me want to explore more depth of shape within resists ,and embellishing on a machine

New Bling wired beaded felt cuff

had a lot of fun doing this and going wow.Maybe Christmas is getting to me .mixing all my favourites together felt wire and beads

ok I have now firmed the felt u after rolling about 200 x either direction and 5 mins of throwing the bag was really firm and the cutting began.I then inserted the handle supports and began stitching .I used thread for leather and the 2 needle technique.The work then begins on the handles under the stitch lines you must kee working where your cut lines were to firm u the edges and make it look pretty.Shaping the bottom and stuffing it while it dried was the best thing I did as it kept the design.It had 3 days in the airing closet which is very warm hot air blowing all the time (not very eco friendly) and then I wire brushed the outside before shaving which sounds odd but it worked and I got a really smooth surface ,come back tomorrow and see the finished bag
